About

Hi! My name is Ruggero Frigoli and I am 24 years old. I have always been interested in the work of my father (a graphics professional) and the projects by my brother (a net artist). Following one of our many discussions at home I started to think about a few ideas.

The first is that the internet has brought an infinite number of benefits and opportunities, like being able to display and sell artworks to a vast public. (The reality, however, is often complicated and time-consuming).
Increasing numbers of people are now producing and circulating creative images: photographers but also illustrators, graphic designers, designers, virtual world enthusiasts...
As an art lover, I have often looked for prints of my favourite artists’ works to buy, to hang in my home or to give as gifts.
On the internet you can find images to suit all tastes, but my search for prints has often drawn a blank: there are loads of images without the artist’s name, each different site has its own procedures and often the artists are impossible to track down.

So my idea was this: wouldn’t it be simpler for everyone - both artists and potential buyers - if all images had a button in a corner letting you buy a print?
It could be a new way of buying and selling images, a new source of income for artists and creatives and an infinite gallery to choose prints from.

After graduating in Internet Science I put together a team to work on this idea, and Bigoom is the result.

What’s new about Bigoom.

Traditional image galleries make artists adapt to fit their site design, sales procedures, formats, materials and prices.
Bigoom, on the other hand, adapts to the artist: the button sits discreetly on the artist’s website, and it is the artist who sets the prices and obviously the formats of the prints, according to his or her own tastes and style.

Get creative with BIGOOM!!!
